The 2024 Socca World Cup will kick off on 29 November and run through 7 December in Muscat, Oman. It will be the first-ever edition held in the Middle East, marking a major milestone in the global expansion of the sport.

Teams and Format

A total of 40 national teams from five continents will compete for the trophy. The teams will be divided into eight groups of five, with the top performers advancing to the knockout rounds. Matches will be held in a brand-new stadium built specifically for the event, located at the Oman Automobile Association in Seeb.

Countries expected to make a strong impact include Kazakhstan (reigning champions), Brazil, England, Mexico, Croatia, Poland, and rising challengers like Albania, Pakistan, and hosts Oman.

What to Expect

This will be the first Socca World Cup outside of Europe, following previous editions in Portugal (2018), Greece (2019), Hungary (2022), and Germany (2023). Oman is preparing to offer world-class hospitality, passionate crowds, and a unique cultural backdrop for the event.

With local support behind them, Oman will look to make a deep run in front of their home fans—perhaps even aiming to lift the trophy.

Fun Facts

From intense competition to unforgettable moments, the 2024 Socca World Cup promises to be the most exciting edition yet.
